Fabulous Font Friday #14

It’s Friday people! Who0o! When I saw this font, I knew I couldn’t pass it up!! It’s modern with a touch of sassy! HBI has recently been creating our Wedding Collection of invitations. It’s been very exciting and also very stressful challenging (as my fiance would prefer me to say) at times. I tend to get custom projects that match my style….rustic but girly. Those projects are a piece of cake to design….because the design/ look & feel just flows for me. However, HBI’s entire Wedding Collection couldn’t be rustic and girly! So I really had to get out of my comfort zone and design some modern & classic looks as well. It was amazing… I think I found a whole new me : ) SO all that to say that this font is definitely a keeper because it’s modern, girly, and fun! And it can definitely make modern invitation designs POP!

Are you hungry now or what?! : ) You can pick up this lovely font called Kurry here: My Fonts!

xo peeps!

GIVEAWAY! Tickets to the best bridal event ever….The Not Wedding in Atlanta, GA!

We’re thrilled to announce that we are not only participating in The NotWedding Atlanta, but we are also giving away 2 tickets to this fabulous event held on March 8th!!! If you’re a soon-to-be bride in Atlanta, you definitely don’t want to miss out on this fabulous event.

The NotWedding is essentially a fake wedding to inspire real brides. Here is a blurb from The NotWedding: Complete with a sit-down dinner, an emotional ceremony and a dance-party reception, The NotWedding has become a killer alternative to a bridal show. The hand-selected vendors perform their services as they would at a real wedding, and the “wedding guests” get to hear the music, taste the cakes, and touch the linens… while enjoying a night of great food, dancing and surprises.

We know you’re already jumping for joy over this event, but we’re going to throw in some photos from past NotWedding events to taunt you even more ; )

{Photo credits: http://ourlaboroflove.com/}

Okay, okay, we know you’re begging us to tell you how can I win the tickets?! It’s simple:

  1. You MUST be engaged!
  2. Head on over to our Facebook page and like our page! Then share the giveaway on your Facebook page and in the comment box tell us who you want to bring with you to the event and why! And if you’re running solo share a tip on how to be an independent bride!
  3. Like The NotWedding Facebook page!
  4. Lastly, leave a comment on our Facebook after you have completed the two steps above.
  5. GOOD LUCK!

*Winner will be chosen at random using random.org and will be announced on Monday, March 5th.

Honey Bee Invites now sold at BHLDN!

We have an HUGE announcement to make today: Honey Bee Invites is now sold at the lovely retailer, BHLDN. (Click here to see our product)

I know most of you, especially those planning a wedding or in the wedding industry, know exactly what BHLDN is and how fabulous it is! : ) But for those of you that do not…here’s the scoop:

BHLDN is owned by Urabn Outfitters, Inc. (which also owns Anthroplogie and Free People). BHLDN began as an online retailer, but they now have stores in Houston and Chicago. Their stores focus on weddings and special events. BHLDN says it best on their website:
“Our roots are with Anthropologie, so a passion for experience and creating one-of-a-kind moments runs deep. But our offering speaks more to the not-so-everyday occasions—ours is a voice that celebrates a woman’s most anticipated milestones. And one that gives tradition a twist.  We want, more than anything, to help a woman create an event that reflects her own unique perspective… to a tee. We want to give a bride that edit she’s been searching for—with heirloom-quality wedding gowns, artisanal hair adornments, footwear, and lingerie. And we want happy bridesmaids—in mix-and-match frocks with rich hues and unexpected details…Be you. Be loved. BHLDN”

I love the BHLDN brand and everything that they represent, so when they contacted me to see if I offered wholesale cards, I squealed (or screamed, totally debatable) with excitement!!! HBI is beyond honored to be sold at such a lovely and fabulous retailer. We hope that this opportunity helps us to reach brides all over the country.  We hope that when brides open their package from BHLDN that they feel and see all the love we put into our products. I’ve always said “Whoever said happiness couldn’t come in an envelope?” and I hope that each order delivered brings a little piece of happiness to lovely brides-to-be everywhere.

Here is the HBI photo story: MAKING BIG THINGS HAPPEN WITH BHLDN

BHLDN ordered one of my most favorite collections, HBI Newly Married Thank You cards.
The cards read “Thank You from the bottom of our newly married hearts.”

BHLDN stationery, BHLDN notecards, bride and groom thank you cards, wedding thank you cards

Order is in from the printer!

My amazing fiance, Justin, who happily became my business partner for the night. We spent hours and hours stuffing hundreds and hundreds of cards.

The stacks grew as the night went on...

Did I mention that this took days to get together?

I wanted the packaging to feel like you just got a gift from your best friend.

Fabulous Font Friday: No. 13

What….everyone else has left the office? Fun plans on Friday night? More exciting things to do than read FontFriday?!

Well, you do NOT want to miss this one! My post might be late, but I’ve got some good things to share people, so take a look…

My fabulous font today is FREE! It doesn’t get much better than that, except that it is quite an amazing free font…. the name is MATILDE. I don’t find free fonts that I just love often, but this is definitely one of them. Somehow it managed to slip through the cracks during all my “fantastic free font” searches. Has anyone else been using this font? And if so, why didn’t you tell me about it! ; )

I also want to share a few special links:

  • Our #fontfriday friends, Elizabeth and Jenna, shared an incredible font deal on handwritten fonts. Check it out: Little Bit Heart Font Friday Post
  • I just discovered Whimsey Box! It’s an awesome company with an awesome idea! Great for people who are trying to find their “creative side”
  • As much as I loooove Pinterest, and I do really love it. Sometimes I need professional, high-quality, designers inspiration…. not just random inspiration. And in comes… Designspiration. A great tool for all designers, especially if you ever do any branding or logo design.

Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for (oh what, you just skimmed to the bottom?…NOT cool)! : )

DOWNLOAD Matilde here.

Fabulous Font Friday #12

I’m back on the Font Friday circuit! :) It’s been a while.  But I have a fabulous font for you all today- CAROLYNA.
In fact, it’s so fabulous that Little Bit Heart featured their sister font today, Carolyna Black.

Carolyna is a gorgeous  whimsically handwritten calligraphy font! It has open-type features for more letter options and to give the font a hand-lettered touch. The font also has  over 100 characters. Take a look at this beauty below….

I have a feeling this is going to end up on many of your wish lists!
